Our First Christmas

We bought a gorgeous tree that took up half of our tiny apartment living room. We had our very own Christmas Tree. He said "your getting Jewelry for Christmas but don't get too excited, it's not what you might think. Proposing on Christmas is too cliche". he had already bought my ring, he knew he wanted to marry me. We spent Christmas with family, visiting all of their houses enjoying the presence all around as a new family. Christmas morning was something I never expected. nothing with us ever felt awkward, but for whatever reason I thought spending Christmas with my new extended family would be. It was anything but that. It was the most amazing thing anyone had ever done for me, except they had all done it for me. Each and every person gave me something near and very dear to my heart. Jeremy brought tears to my eyes Christmas Morning, with gifts that I knew came straight from his heart. He always knows how to get me. Everything fell in to place so naturally. He didn't propose then, he was waiting for the right time & place. And I didn't care when it happened, all that mattered is that we were forever. It was the best Christmas I had ever had.

I was complete.

.:The first day of the rest of our lives:.

We met for the very first time October 4th 2008. Mutual friends decided that we should meet. And, a concert of my favorite band The Allman Brothers was the perfect place. It was a gorgeous warm October day. We stood on the grass and twirled & twirled to the music. We were so carefree, we had so much fun. As the concert ended and the cups ran dry, we locked hands for the long walk to the car. Clearly we were in no shape to drive, so we both piled into the back of my car. Being as roiled up as I already was, I decided to serenade everyone to Susan Tedeschi for the next twenty miles. I know he was impressed, or maybe not. Who knows, I was already in love. We decided to bring out the Ipod, so we could listen to the songs they didn't play that night. We listened to Soulshine about three times, and then I finally fell asleep in his arms. When we left that night, I wasn't sure of what was going to happen. I had been having quite a few meetings with boys lately. I knew this was different. We had many more dates in the next week to come, and every day reassured me of what I already knew. We had so much fun, we laughed, and smiled, he was the one. Friday night came around and we had a date, he was so cute, so dressed up and so gorgeous. Now I know it seems a little soon, but we decided to have a sleepover that friday night. He drove us there, I felt so safe with him, so complete. He has only spent two nights away from me since. We were in love. We are in love. And every single day with him since October 4th has been a dream come true.

It really wasn't that long ago, but so much has happened since then.
